May 20th 2015: Makeup at Midnight/Comfy Day

HELLLLOOOO! So today happened to be a "day off" for me. Kinda, sorta..and I feel very much in the blogging mood and have been thinking about daily blogging for a while now. Not that I have many profound things to say but sometimes it feels good to type things out and share thoughts, almost like journaling but you can also share pictures and other fun things! I am sure that some of you can relate and know what I mean. I also have to work on getting Photoshop back on my lap top so I can edit some pics but for now I'll just use some editing apps on my phone :D

So, my day started at a peculiar hour today. I made it to bed around 12am to take a quick nap and woke up at 1:30am. I left my house and then headed out to do a friends makeup for their engagement shoot. They were heading to the beach to shoot their engagement photos during sunrise. I can't wait to see the photos! I'll put a picture of the makeup I did down belowwwww!

(forgot to take the before pic here)

Went home, slept til 8:30, got my nails done with my friend Ashley and now I am at the dance studio where I work the desk every Wednesday evening. And this is how my first day "off" since last Wednesday went, but it was a pretty nice day. LOL, but it's all good..I will be busy with work the next few days but I really want to try and keep this updated. ALSO! Here are some pics of what a wore today. SIMPLY for comfort and not style on my day off...plus no makeup to give my face a break!:) Til tommorrowwww!

I legit wear this sweater all the time, it's so comfortable, almost down to my ankles. I got it off of forever21.com
Shirt is from soandsoapparel.com it is super soft and I love the design, flip flops are from aldo.com they are jelly and I laaaaav them.

FEBRUARY FAVES 2014

HI GUYS! :) Happy March! Man, it is cold here in Jersey and the snow just isn't letting up. I really hope that it starts to warm up by the end of this month because I am itching to wear some spring clothes! Any who, I only have a few faves from this month. No discovery break throughs but just a few products that I really like and have been frequently reaching for! Hereeeeee they are!

I've really been enjoying this little cleanser by La Roche Posay. Something that I absolutely despise about my skin is my acne scars. They aren't terrible but ugh they irk me. One day I WILL get them lasered off. This cleaner is meant to brighten any hyper pigmentation and it has a micro exfoliant (although it does't feel like an exfoliator, which I love) which also fades scars. I really like how it foams a ton!

'Ballet Slippers' by Essie! I know that everyone and their mother have already fallen in love with this color but I first picked it up this month and have been LOVING it. Such a perfect pale pink.

I am hesitant to mention this product because it was part of MAC's holiday collection this year....but....if you can manage to get your hands on it somehow....you should def pick it up! The swatches in this pic do not do this palette justice but the pigmentation of these colors are gorgeous and I have been grabbing it a lot when I want to do a smokey eye. I've found that MAC's shadows tend to be a little rinky dinky when they throw them in a special edition palette but that was not the case for this palette. I love it! Plus my sweet bf gave it to me for Christmas....I kind of forgot I had it and then I was very pleased when I rediscovered it in my makeup collection and opened it up!

OKAY. This one might be a breakthrough product for me this month. These new Smashbox liners. If you are a winged liner junkie like me then you probably know to stick to your liquids and gels when creating a fierce cat eye. WELLLL. This liner def changed my world. LOL I can do the QUICKEST cat eye with this thing...and it's a pencil! I have never been able to create a wing with a pencil before this! Each time you untwist the cap to open this, it sharpens so it is always a very sharp and precise tip. I have 'Sumatra' which is a dark, dark brown. I really want to pick it up in black. They also have like a milllionnn colors of this thing.

UGH. Sorry guys, another limited edition product from MAC. This is 'Legendary' by MAC which came out with their Marilyn Monroe collection. But basically, the point of this favorite is just, PEACH BLUSH. I have been loving it lately. And MAC has many other gorgeous peach blushes.

Urban Decay came out with this new line of Naked glosses which are to DIE for. I've never been much of a gloss person but I can pretty much say that these are the definition of the perfect gloss. They are soooo pigmented as you can see in my swatches. You can wear one of these without anything underneath and you are good to go. They are truly a non-sticky gloss. I think that they make my lips look so full, plus the color lasts so long on your lips. The top swatch is Lovechild a beautiful pink and the bottom one is called Walk of Shame, the perfect nude color. Not to mention, the packaging is beautimous.

I am a contour freak. I absolutely laaaav contouring and lately I've really been feeling the whole cream contour thing. If you want a very strong and defined contour then you will love this too. Sometimes after using this to contour I also set it with a regular powder bronzer. This is a Select Coverup concealer by MAC. It is in shade NW40. Keep in mind that with MAC I am usually NW15 so this baby is wayyyy darker than me. On top you can see what it looks like when blended into my skin and the bottom is just a regular swatch before it's blended.

And das alll!!! Thanks for reading my Feb Faves guys! What have you all been lovin  lately!?

NIGHT TIME PAMPER ROUTINE: LUSH PRODUCTS

HEY GUYS! S today's post involves one of my all time OBSESSIONS....LUSH! Over the past couple months it's been safe to say that my Lush obsession has gotten a bit.....out of control! I find their products so fun and interesting to use and learn about. I love that their skin care is gentle and feels soothing on my face rather than tightening and irritating. I have acquired quite the collection over time, lol, in the post you will only see some of my Lush faves! Seen above: 2 Close to You massage bars, Love Locket bath bomb, Space Girl bath bomb, Pink bath bomb, Fizzbanger bath bomb.

After a long day of work I remove all of my makeup. I recently purchased these Simple Radiance wipes. I loveeee the Simple brand makeup wipes. I usually use the original ones and I think I like those better. They are great for sensitive skin.

Next I cleanse my face using Lush's Angels On Bare Skin. This might just be my FAVORITE Lush product. It is such a gentle cleanser that gently exfoliates with ground almonds to remove dead skin. It is not overly drying either.

This is Lush's Serum bar called Full of Grace. It is full of antioxidants and rich hydrating antioxidants. It helps give your skin radiance and even out your complexion. A girl who works at Lush told me that you can use this as a base for your mask to keep your skin from getting dry.

Catastrophe Cometic is my second favorite mask from Lush. I out it on all of my redness and break outs. I usually Oatafix mask on the rest of my face while using this. Oatafix is my favorite because it smells amazing and is sooo moisturizing on my dry skin, but unfortunately, mine recently expired.

The best part..bath time! I love having a large bottle of ice cold water to drink while taking a bath. It really helps you cool off in a hot bath. I always light a candle as well. This is a Bath & Body Works candle is just one that I had stocked up and hadn't used and smells like strawberries!

For this bath I am using a piece of one of my Love Locket bath bombs that I had left over from a different one. I am also crumbling a leftover piece of Melting Marshmallow Moment bubble bar and the Pink bath bomb which has little hearts inside. My favorite bath bombs are Sex bomb, Dragon's Egg and Twilight. I also love The Comforter bubble Bar.

Prettttyyyyyy! It smelled soooo good and sweet!

This is a piece of my Neon Love soap from Lush. Made with fruit juice and yogurt. It's nice and moisturizing and smells fruity! I also love Sexy Peel and Sultana of Soap.

That's a Nikki Phillippi video btw! One of my fave, if not my fave Youtubers!

I laaaaaaav using a lip scrub and this one is the best one that I've tried. It exfoliates your lips, plumps them, moisturizes them and removes dead skin. It also tastes great and it's minty fresh! LOL

DREAM CREAM. IS. AMAZING. It is sooooo moisturizing even on the driest areas. Sometimes I get a little flare up of eczema and putting this stuff on once makes it disappear. It's magical. It is a little pricey but it lasts a longggg time.
I love Lush's massage bars in general. This one, Tender is the Night, smells delicious. They make your skin sooo silky smooth and they make you smell amazing!

And that wraps up my night time pamper routine! As you can see, I love Lush products! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! What is your have Lush product!? Thanks for reading!

MY VALENTINE'S DAY! 2014

Perfumes: I used this really sweet and yummy smelling lotion called You're All Mine from Victoria's Secret. In the middle you will see the Tender is the Night massage bar from Lush. This works like a solid lotion and smells SOOO. GOOD. It is part of their Valentine's Day collection. I layered it with my favored PINK scent which is Fresh and Clean.

Hair: I used this root lifter by Rock Your Hair. Do not let the gorgeous packaging deceive you. I extremely DISLIKE this product. It didn't five me too much of a lift. It just made my hair IMPOSSIBLE to brush or even finger comb through, it actually hurt and later it got really flakey.
I used my 1/2" wand by Nume to curl my hair and then I brushed through the curls to create relaxed waves.

And of course my boyfriend is so special <3 He gave me a beautiful silver necklace by Brighton with a sparkly blue pendant that I am absolutely in LOVE with. I know that he put a lot of thought into picking it out and it is just perfect for me!! He also stuck that cute heart garland into my gift and gave me these AMAZING Lind't strawberry cheesecake chocolates & a hello kitty choc. bar!

I have him a really sleek Kenneth Cole watch, some Godiva chocolates & Lush's Charity Pot moisturizer bc he loves that stuff! :)

I hope you guys enjoyed reading! What did you all do for V-day?

PS. FIND OUT WHERE I GOT THE CUTE & INEXPENSIVE SHOES I WORE ON VALENTINE'S DAY IN MY PREVIOUS POST.

CUTE BOOTS FOR A FIFTH OF THE PRICE!?

Hi guys! I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's day and Valentine's day weekend! I am in the process of editing a post about my V-day...and while doing so I found something really sweet to share with you all!

So, me being easily distracted while editing my blog,  I started searching for some cute lace up heels that I saw Steve Madden post on their Instagram a few days ago.

While looking through all of the cute shoes on the Steve Madden website I discovered something really exciting....a pair of boots that are IDENTICAL to a pair that I purchased at Target this past week! (and I wore them on Valentine's Day, so I happened to take pictures of them, LOL) This made me realllllyyyyy happy because I love these shoes. I fell in love with them when I saw them bc they are ADORABLE and I have been searching for some cute black booties with a western flare. BUT I got mine at Target for $27.00 and I swear, I cannot spot a single difference in the ones I saw on Steve Madden for $149.00. SCOREEEE!!! Wanted to share this with you all because if you really like them then you should go grab them from Target...I feel like Target switches out the shoes that they have in stock so fast!!! :0 Love you guys!
