Hello hello! Ombre lips have been a hot topic for quite a while now. You have, of course, the traditional dark red fading to bright red ombre lips and your crazy, bold navy blue to light blue ombre lips! A deep, dark red combo is often stunningly worn during the fall season.
As all of us beauty fanatics probably know, brighter, more cool lip tones tend to be a lot more popular in the spring and summer months. I decided that I wanted to create a bit of a brighter ombre lip, while still being appropriate for the fall.
I think that this combo is a gorgeous berry colored ombre lip, suitable for fall!
I started by lining my entire lips with Magenta lip liner by MAC. Using the Magenta lip liner will brighten this look a little bit more and bring out the pinker tones. This look would also work with Vino or Current lip liner by Mac, these would bring out
more of the look's berry tones.
I filled in the outer parts of my lips with the ever so beautiful Rebel lipstick by MAC. This is one of my most favorite fall lip colors. It can be deepened or brightened up, depending on what lip liners you pair it with. This look is definitely a brighter take on Rebel.
Next, I filled in the center of my lips with Snob by MAC. Any nice bright pink shade would work. St. Jermaine by MAC is another good choice.
Lastly, I blended Rebel and Snob together where they met for that ombre effect!
As for eyes, I kept them subtle. I primed with MAC's paint pot in Painterly and then put Urban Decay's Naked Illuminating Powder all over my lid. I love using this as an eye shadow because it has such fine shimmer which really makes your eyes twinkle! You can also just use a shimmery nude eye shadow, or a matte one if you prefer. I quickly blended MAC's saddle in the crease (or any warm brown color for definition), added a small wing and BOOM your look is complete!
A perfectly pretty look to brighten up any gloomy fall days!
